Re: Getting the ball rolling
I dont think there is anyone left Repo. Im not too happy with the way the website just disappeared either. I still race regularly. Mostly with D2D, KCR, or NBSR. I was thinking of taking my tags off though because all this drama has made it a lil embarassing.

Re: Getting the ball rolling
I know nobody reads this forum anymore, but I'm gonna post this here anyways.
It's very sad to see that NWR has closed its doors. Although my departure from NWR was less than pleasant (and I still to this day claim that it was uncalled for and unbased), this place has always had a special meaning to me, being that it is the league that took a chance on me and gave me my first place to call "home". I have a lot of good memories associated with this league.. my first online league win at Talladega in the 07 Spring season, clinching my first title over Lucius with a victory at Homestead the next weekend, finally learning how to put it all together at the end of the Chase and taking 4 victories in the final 6 races.. but I think my favorite was hanging with guys like Oldtimer, Max, and the gang. It was such a thrill having that to look forward to on Saturday mornings. It wasn't always posies and daisies and whathaveyou, but it was pure racing with people I considered an extended form of family. That was what NWR was to me.. just another weekly reunion on saturday mornings when we would all gather and show off our stuff on NT04, and good or bad, we all came out of it still friends in the end and couldn't wait to do it again the next week.
So to those of you who still pop in and check this every once in a while like myself, thank you.. you made those miserable times in Florida bearable for me. You all, without knowing it, were a light in my life, and gave me something to look forward to every week. You were a welcoming family to me in a time where I was struggling. Though the record books have been (unfairly) changed, I am proud to have earned the right to call myself an NWR champion, and proud to have been on track with each and every one of you.
And to those of you I've had my differences with.. 2d2d, Skunker, Cowboy, Bumpsteer, the "second guard" if you will.. I've put it in the past. I know that none of you will ever likely read this, but know that I wish no ill will on any of you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Thank you for everything, NWR. I'm so sorry to see things end this way for you guys.. I always thought this place would go on forever with the passions of those who ran with it.

Re: Getting the ball rolling
Someone still reads this Marco. I am glad that you enjoyed those times and the fact that NWR races were a "spot of light" back then, it's a great comfort for all those who made it happen.
